KEEP NATO OUT OF LIBYA

MUAMMAR Gaddafi remains defiant as loyalist forces push east to try and oust the rebels out of the swathe of coastal towns seized during the first week of the revolt against his 42-years of rule. But as imperialist moves towards military intervention grow, the Libyan leader faces increasing isolation in the rest of the Arab world which is looking with indifference and hostility at his attempts to save his “Green Revolution”.

Town hall protests reach crescendo

AS LOCAL authorities throughout the country meet to debate and implement the swingeing cuts being imposed by the Con-Dem Coalition, so protesters against the cuts are besieging their town halls in growing numbers.

TO SUP with the devil you need a long spoon was what they used to say in the old days but it still carries wisdom today. Look at Muammar Gaddafi. Some years ago the Libyan leader decided to turn to the imperialist powers to assist in the modernisation of his country’s oil industry.
