A devil’s pact to destroy the NHS

THE CON-Dem Coalition’s flagship Health and Social Care Bill is being rammed through both Houses of Parliament and could become law within weeks.

It is being driven by a devil’s compact between David Cameron and Nick Clegg that is allowing a few minor concessions and a little bit of extra cash recently discovered to enable Clegg to bring his reluctant Liberal Democrat MPs along with him.

Syrian army takes back Homs

SYRIAN troops have now crushed all pockets of Muslim Brotherhood resistance in the city of Homs, amid reports that France and Turkey have secretly agreed to halt their support for the rebels in return for the release of their military advisers, held by the Syrian army. Remnants of the “Free Syrian Army” militia in Homs have fled to Lebanon.

Cowardice of the Labour leadership

IT’S NOT looking good for David Cameron these days. The economy is stagnant and unemployment continues to rise. The Coalition is under fire from all sides over the Government’s plans to semi-privatise the health service. His Liberal Democrat collaborators are facing a rank and file back-lash against the Health and Social Care Bill, which Labour has pledged to scrap if it wins the next general election.
