Readers raised £602 for the fighting fund thanks to an old friend in Essex who sent in £25, a south London supporter who sent in £10, a Carlisle reader who gave us £8 and a number of comrades whose bankers’ orders underpin the monthly fight to raise funds for our communist weekly. We have now collected £2,142 for the October appeal. We need a further £1,358 to hit our £3,500 target for the month.
Next month the 100th anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution will be celebrated by communists all over the world. Since 1977 the New Worker has stood side by side with the rest of the world communist movement fighting revisionism and supporting the national liberation movements that are standing up to imperialist aggression all over the world. We’ve done it only through the sacrifice and struggle of supporters committed to seeing the survival of our communist weekly newspaper.
