The Fighting Fund

This week’s post-bag came to a modest £572 but we’ve had some hiccups with post this week so hopefully there’s plenty more still to come. Many thanks to all who helped us on our way including the Carlisle friend who sent in £9, the Wandsworth reader who gave £3 and Southall comrades who raised a further £60 to mark the 100th centenary of the Russian revolution. The running total for the fighting fund now stands at £2,276 and we need £1,224 by the end of the month to hit our £3,500 target for November.

Another week. Another lousy budget. Another good reason to get rid of the Tories. Next year is likely to be election year and the New Worker has a crucial part to play in putting the communist answer to the capitalist crisis on the streets, and in the factories and offices wherever we can.
