The November fighting fund closed last weekend with £700 in the bag giving us a grand total of £3,506 for the month. We’ve hit the target again with £6 to spare thanks to supporters all over the country including a Carlisle friend who sent in a tenner, a regular contributor from Essex who gave £25, a Sheffield reader who topped up his sub renewal with an extra £20, a London member of the Labour Party who sent us £10 and a Hereford supporter who transferred another £20 via PayPal.
The New Worker Christmas appeal starts now and it got off to a flying start with a £1,000 donation from Richmond & Kingston NCP in memory of comrades Harry Danvers and Peter Geddes, founder members of the Party and staunch supporters of the New Worker. The December fighting fund now needs £2,500 by the end of the month to hit our target. So as you prepare for the festive season spare a thought and some cash for our communist paper that keeps up the fight for peace and socialism every week. And if you’re looking for gifts why not order a New Worker 2018 Calendar — its only £6 and all proceeds will go to the fighting fund.
