The Weekly paper of the New Communist Party of Britain
Week commencing 13th April 2018

The Fighting Fund

The April fighting fund is up and running and with £523 in the post in the first week we now need a further £2,977 to hit our £3,500 target for the month. That target’s been pretty elusive the past few months so we need a big push for May Day to hit the bullseye and hopefully make up for past short-falls. In the meantime let’s thank all those who got the ball rolling like the East Anglian comrade who sent in £80, a Carlisle friend who posted £15 and Southall comrades who collected another £15 for the New Worker at their last cell meeting.

War clouds are gathering over Syria as US imperialism prepares for missile strikes that could easily lead to a direct confrontation with Russia that could trigger a third world war. The anti-war movement is organising meetings and demonstrations in London and across the country to protest against any British involvement in renewed American aggression in the Middle East.

Our communist voice needs to be heard more than ever to counter the clamour for war from the bourgeois lackeys in the mainstream media and the fighting fund is the surest guarantee of the continued publication of the New Worker. Every pound helps us maintain and expand the readership of the New Worker in the estates, factories and offices throughout Britain. Send your donations, big or small, to the New Worker Fund, PO Box 73, London SW11 2PQ. Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to the New Worker.
