This week we received a total of £487.We thank our readers and supporters for this. Donations included £6 from a Peckham supporter, £20 from a Willesden pensioner, £30 from a reader in south Wales and £15 from a regular in Cumbria.
It is great that readers are showing their generosity but unfortunately we have fallen short of the monthly target by £912!, which is not good and we will need to make the shortfall next month!
Running a communist newspaper in a capitalist society is not easy. Nothing is given to us free. Not only do we have to pay for ink and paper and wages but we even have to pay a privatised refuse collection service to collect our rubbish and we pay business rates for the mere privilege of occupying the building.
