The Weekly paper of the New Communist Party of Britain
Week commencing 14th September 2018

The Fighting Fund

We kicked off the September appeal with £817 in the bag including £200 from a comrade who has just moved to Devon, £100 from an AKEL supporter in London, £92 raised at last weekend’s meeting of the NCP Central Committee, £15 from a good friend in Carlisle and a £10 PayPal donation. The fighting fund now needs £2,683 to hit our monthly £3,500 target.

With the Tories at each others’ throats and the May government on the point of collapse over Brexit we have to be ready for a snap election. We have to combat the anti-Corbyn hate campaign peddled in the bourgeois media and the fifth column of Blairites and Zionists inside the labour movement. We have to raise workers’ demands throughout the union movement while making the case for communism wherever we go. The New Worker depends on the time, effort and money of our supporters. We need money to keep our suppliers happy and keep our press rolling. We need money to maintain the below-cost price of the paper to ensure it reaches the widest possible audience.

Make sure that the New Worker comes out every week to fight for a Labour victory at the next general election; peace and socialism at home and across the world.
