Israel Again Strikes Gaza
ISRAELI warplanes are pounding the Gaza Strip despite United Nations and Egyptian efforts to broker a cease-fire between the beleaguered Palestinian enclave and the Zionist entity. The UN envoy for the Middle East warns of catastrophic consequences from escalating violence in Gaza, and Israeli communists have condemned the targeting of civilians on both sides of the border and called for an end to the bloodshed
This renewed Israeli aggression began on Monday when the Israelis started hitting targets throughout the Gaza Strip after the accidental firing of a Palestinian rocket that destroyed an Israeli settler’s home near Tel Aviv, wounding seven people.

Crispy strikers
CLASS ONE lorry drivers who have the important task of transporting Walkers crisps from their Warrington factory to hungry mouths across the country are balloting for strike action.
The jobs were transferred from Walkers Snack Foods to rapacious transport firm Eddie Stobart last year under a Transfer of Undertakings of Protection of Employment (TUPE). Unite the union says that since the transfer however, Stobart management has ignored the TUPE agreements, which are supposed to maintain workers’ terms and conditions.
