Boycott EU elections!

THE PRIME Minister held talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron, the President of France, this week in a renewed bid to extend the Brexit deadline to 30th June. But the German and French leaders clearly don’t think Mrs May can break the deadlock in Parliament despite her recent overtures to Labour, and they’ve made it clear that they will only support a long extension of at least a year to allow the Government to “rethink” its plans.

Pay battles (round one)

EIGHTY-fiVE per cent of the Unison members at the Environment Agency have voted for industrial action after rejecting a below-inflation pay rise of 1.3 per cent imposed on staff in January.

Boycott Israel!

PALESTINIAN campaigners are calling on artists and broadcasters to withdraw from the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest that is scheduled to take place in Tel Aviv in May. They are calling on the BBC, songwriters and performers to withdraw from the contest hosted by Israel, to avoid being complicit in the Zionist state’s ongoing violations of Palestinian human rights.

The call is part of a wider campaign to pressurise Israel to comply with international law and restore the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
