THE NEW WORKER

The Weekly paper of the New Communist Party of Britain
Week commencing 19th April 2019

The Fighting Fund

You raised £565 for the fighting fund this week thanks to the reader in Carlisle who gave us £8, the Manchester supporter who added a fiver to his sub renewal and the Elland friend who donated a tenner. A North Tawton regular contributor posted £20 and Southall comrades raised £15 at their cell meeting last week. The April appeal now stands at £1,252 and we now need £2,248 to hit our target for April.

Rich Frenchmen are donating millions of euros for the restoration of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris that was gutted by fire this week — and undoubtedly this icon of Gothic architecture will rise again from the ruins in the not too distant future. But though we’ve been spared natural disasters at the New Worker we are in real danger of falling into the flames of financial ruin —- and we’ve got no millionaires to bail us out.

We rely entirely on our readers to keep our communist weekly going and every pound we get helps to guarantee the next issue of the New Worker. Every time you order a pamphlet or an NCP pen it also helps the fund.
