The Fighting Fund

The May appeal steadily continues with £485 in the post. The running total for the fighting fund now stands at £2,188. We now need to raise £1,312 to hit our May target and we’ve only got a few days to do it. Many thanks to all our supporters who are helping us on our way to the £3,500 target that include the long-standing Colchester reader who added £19.17 to his annual subscription; the Carlisle contributor who sent in £16 and a south London supporter who gave us a tenner.

Some of your letters and contributions may be taking a while to get to us because of postal delays — we have had no mail of any kind for several days. £1,312 is a lot to raise in just one week but we know it can be done and we ask all of you to search your handbags and pockets and down the back of the sofa to send us whatever you can. We live in strange times. The New Worker is fighting on all fronts to campaign on saving the NHS and defending our schools, scrapping Trident, getting out of the EU and countering imperialist lies about the Democratic Peoples’ Republic of Korea, China, Syria, Ukraine, Palestine and so many more. Help to keep us in the battle by sending whatever you can to the New Worker fund at
