This week’s postbag brought in a further £561 for the fighting fund pushing the needle up to £2,951 thanks to the supporters who sent in £100 in memory of Ann Rogers and £11 from a West Country reader and a fiver from another supporter in Cumbria.
We’ve got a new Tory premier but it’s the same old song from Downing Street. Under the austerity regime working people struggle on bread-line wages or pittance benefits while the likes of Boris Johnson live off the fat of the land, as they have always done so. We have to make sure that their days are numbered. The New Worker, which is part of the world-wide struggle for peace and socialism that will ultimately end in victory for the working class, depends on its readers to keep going.
