Round two of the April appeal brought in £655 to the pot thanks to a Southall comrade who sent in £150 and a Southampton supporter who donated £50. A Korean solidarity activist posted £15, we got a tenner from a reader in Cleckheaton and a regular supporter of the fighting fund in Essex sent us £30 – the rest came from the standing orders that are the foundation of our fund-raising efforts. We’ve raised £1,314 so far. We need £2,186 to hit our target for the month.
We’re getting back on the streets where we belong struggling to rebuild the circulation of the New Worker and keep up the fight for peace and socialism at home and abroad. For far too long working people have put up with the back-stabbers and careerists in the labour movement who claim to lead us. They tell us that socialism is dead and capitalism is the only game in town. We must prove them wrong.
