The Fighting Fund

This week’s postbag brought in £651 for the fighting fund pushing the needle up to £1,961. We now need £1,535 to hit our target for April. Many thanks to the Guernsey supporter who gave us £50 – a donation matched by a regular supporter of our efforts in Essex. And many thanks to all who have increased their direct debits over the past week or so.

The fund is the life-blood of our paper – still the only communist weekly in Britain. We need to keep our suppliers happy to keep our presses rolling. And if you want to guarantee our communist contribution to the struggle for peace and socialism the first step is to support the New Worker fighting fund. Another world is possible. We see it in the hopes and dreams of working people all around the world. We see it being built in People’s China, Cuba, Democratic Korea, Laos and Vietnam. And we see it here in the wave of strikes and protests sweeping across the country. We are part of that struggle. We must keep up the fight.
