The May appeal has kicked off with £1,571 in the bag that was boosted by a £1,000 donation to the fighting fund from a supporter who lives the European Union and other donations from readers in the West Country, Yorkshire and London.
We fight for peace and socialism. We fight for people’s democracy and the real freedom that exists in China, Cuba, north Korea, Laos and Vietnam and the other countries that have taken the path to socialism in the Global South. That’s our world. Their world’s the world of Biden, Sunak and Macron and the pawns that revolve around them. They stand for oppression, poverty and exploitation, They bring war, disease, famine and death with them.
We are part of that global struggle and you can join in the struggle bv guaranteeing the survival of what is still the only communist weekly in Britain. We need £3,500 a month to keep going.
