Millions of people are taking to the streets all over the world to demand an end to the Israeli bombing of Gaza – not least in London, where hundreds of thousands marched through the heart of the capital in solidarity with the Palestinians last weekend. The New Worker is part of that fight and part of that struggle is to keep our paper, the only communist weekly in Britain, going.
This week’s post-bag contained donations that came to £650 thanks to supporters in London and other parts of the country, including a veteran Essex reader who is a pillar of the fighting fund. The running total for the month is now £1,687. Our tar- get is to raise £3,500 every month to guarantee the continued existence of the New Worker.
