The Weekly paper of the New Communist Party of Britain
This week’s postbag brought more donations from supporters all over the country. London comrades raised £60, Midland readers sent in £72 and a regular supporter of the fighting fund in Cornwall gave us a tenner. It all came to £545 which pushed the November tally to £1,191. But our target is £3,500 for the month so we’ve still got a fight on our hands to hit it by the end of the month.
The Israelis and their masters in Washington agreed to a prisoner exchange and a brief truce in Gaza this week – far short of the unconditional surrender they were talking about in Tel Aviv a few weeks ago. They say their offensive will resume after the hand-overs. We’ll see…
Calls for peace and justice for the Palestinian Arabs are echoing all around the world. It’s even being heard in the streets of Tel Aviv. It’s been heard in the Scottish parliament and right across the labour and peace movements. Palestinian resistance along with the global protests have already forced the imperialists and their lackeys to take a small step back. Now the struggle is to make sure the guns remain silent.
We are part of that struggle. Make sure the voice of the New Worker, the only communist weekly in Britain, is heard up and down the country.
