The December appeal kicked off with £860 in the bag thanks to supporters all around the country, including two £100 contributions from London comrades – one from central London, the other from Southall. A Dagenham reader gave us £6 and a pillar of the fighting fund from Essex sent in a total of £80. A Chiswick reader topped up his sub renewal with an extra £50.
Other donations came from a veteran Dunstable supporter who gave us £15 and a Cornish friend who sent in a tenner, as did another from Scoles. A Welsh supporter gave us £20 and another from the Midlands posted £25.
