We garnered £907 this week boosted by PayPal donations and standing orders as well as £150 from a comrade in Hereford and £30 from a veteran supporter in Essex. A Midlands reader sent in £25 and another from the West Country gave us £6. The January appeal closed with £,2932 in the pot – sadly £568 short of our fighting fund target for the month.
The February appeal starts now and we desperately need more contributions to keep up the fight for peace and socialism this year – a year in which we will almost certainly go to the polls in a general election.
Despite the efforts of China and Russia at the UN and the almost unanimous demands of the Global South to end the fighting Israeli aggression continues unabated under the protective wing of Anglo-American imperialism. Sunak and Starmer grovel to the Americans.
