The Fighting Fund

This week’s postbag brought in £562 for the fighting fund including £90 from a comrade in Hammerwich, £20 from a Welsh supporter and a tenner from another in Scotland. The May appeal now stands £992 and we need to raise £2,508 by the end of the month to hit our £3,500 target for the month.

We need money not just to survive – though that’s top of the list – but to build circulation of the New Worker and get our communist message out on the demos and protests that are sweeping the country like wild-fire these days. It’s been a bad day for the Tories with two MPs jumping ship. But Starmer & Co need to know that it isn’t just the Tories that people want out!

People, working people, see through the lies in the bourgeois media and the empty words of those who pretend to represent us in parliament and the labour movement. People want an answer to the crisis – the capitalist slump that began in 2008 and still no end in sight. And, of course, there is a way out of the crisis of capitalism. We need to make the case for communism loud and clear and put it back on top of the workers’ agenda. But we can only do it with your help.

We support the national liberation movements. We fight for peace and socialism. Something the bourgeois and social-democratic politicians never talk about. We know there’s an answer to the crisis of end-game capitalism – and that’s socialism.
