The Fighting Fund

The June appeal is up and running with £693 already in the bag thanks to a Southall comrade who sent us £200 and a Scottish supporter who donated £40. A Colchester reader gave us £25, a Dagenham comrade donated £15 and another from the same borough gave us £13.

This week another of our computers crashed, which left us briefly with only one up and running. We are setting up the machine that has recently been repaired and hopefully the same can be done with the third. But in the longer term we need replace our computers, which are well past their use-by date, to maintain our presence on the Web and social media, and to ensure the smooth production of the New Worker and our other publications in the future.

That’s what makes fund-raising so important – it’s as crucial as expanding our readership. In fact the two go hand-in-hand. Raise money for our paper and get that extra reader! Not easy – it never was but it’s the only way forward to get the message across and build the communist movement in Britain.

Make sure that the communist voice is heard every week in every factory, office and neighbourhood across the country by supporting the fighting fund. Your contribution, big or small, counts. Help us put the communist answer to the capitalist crisis back on the street by maintaining and broadening the circulation of the New Worker.
