The Fighting Fund

This week’s post bag brought in £700 for our coffers boosted by a generous £300 contribution from a friend in Southall. The August appeal now stands £2,740. The fighting fund now needs just £760 to hit our target by the end of the month.

Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets last week to say no to racism and fascism. Even more will soon be marching again the demand justice for the Palestinian Arabs and call for the end of the British arms trade to Israel.

We play our part in the anti-war movement; the resistance to austerity and the cuts, and the campaign to stop the genocide in Gaza. We’ve done it since 1977 when the New Worker first came out. We will continue to do it for as long as we can – but we rely entirely on our readers to keep us going. We need money to keep our electronic press going. We need money to buy the newsprint, pay our suppliers and keep the price of our weekly journal down. Your contribution, big or small, guarantees the continued distribution of the New Worker on the street and on the housing estates throughout the land.

Help us on our way. Join us in the fight for the greatest cause on Earth by sending your donations to the New Worker fund. All donations help keep our presses rolling. Please send yours to: New Worker Fund, PO Box 73, London SW11 2PQ. Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to the ‘New Worker’.
