The Fighting Fund

Some supporters responded to the call with very generous donations to the fighting fund. We got £1,000 from a Devon comrade, £500 from a veteran in East Anglia and £200 from a supporter in Wales while bankers’ orders and the just as vital bread-and-butter contributions from readers like the one in Dagenham who sent in £6.50 came to another £326. All in all we raised £2,026 for the fighting fund last week. The September appeal now stands at £2,426 and our target is to collect £3,500 by the end of the month.

Imperialism is on the defensive. The fires of resistance blaze in Palestine and the Donbas. The Venezuelan masses close ranks around their revolutionary leaders and in People’s China, Democratic Korea, Cuba, Laos and Vietnam working people are marching along the revolutionary road to socialism.

We are part of the world-wide struggle for peace and socialism and so is every reader of the New Worker. With your help we’ve put the communist voice back on the street since 1977.
