The Fighting Fund

While hundreds of thousands take to the streets to demand justice for the Palestinians and an end to the carnage in Gaza, Starmer & Co have nothing to say apart from slavish support for American imperialism and Zionist aggression. While working people search for jobs that don’t exist or wait for months or even years for operations, the union bureaucrats do little or nothing to justify their immense salaries. While those who claim to lead us churn out the usual platitudes, the ruling class sits back confident that no-one is ever going to seriously challenge their wealth and privilege. No-one that is, apart from the communists.

The mainstream politicians and the left posers who strut across the political stage with their false promises and phoney patriotism are never short of money. The ruling class make sure of that. But we can only rely on our readers to keep us going. We have our own agenda and it’s not the one of the bourgeoisie. We must have our own programme. The fight to end the wars in Ukraine and Gaza, the campaigns in solidarity with the people of the Donbas and the Palestinian Arabs are being fought on the streets of Britain in a battle of ideas that the New Worker has been in since our foundation in 1977.
