The Fighting Fund

The May appeal is up and running with a first week total of £735 in the bag thanks to donations from supporters in Chigwell, Essex, Staffordshire and Wales. We now need £2,765 to hit our fighting fund target by the end of the month.

This month we’ve all paused to remember those who fell in the struggle against fascism during the Second World War – a struggle that ended in victory largely due to the heroic efforts of the Soviet Union and the communist resistance in Europe and the Far East. Written out of bourgeois history and school textbooks, our imperialist leaders would like us to forget the Soviet role in bringing down the Third Reich or that the Soviet Union even existed beyond the hideous characters that pass for scholarly comment in academia today.

But the communist movement lives on throughout the world – in the people’s democracies building a new life in Asia and on the island of Cuba and in popular movements across the Global South and the Western world.

Help us get the message across and build the communist movement here in Britain. Make sure that the communist voice is heard every week in every factory, office and neighbourhood across the country by supporting the fighting fund.
