Thirty-five pounds from Dagenham, £50 from Walthamstow and £20 from a supporter in Hereford. All in all the post brought in £532, pushing the running total for May to £2,956 We’ve now got to try and raise £544 in the next few days to hit our target for the month.
The despatch of this week’s paper was delayed due to a fault on the broadband line of our internet provider. Alternative equipment and a couple of emergency purchases enabled us to finish off production but printing was unavoidably delayed.
These are the problems all small print shops face. We have to main tain our equipment and keep our suppliers happy by paying their bills on time. That’s where the fighting fund comes in – without it we’d be long gone. But with the support and sacrifice of our readers we have maintained for 48 years what is now the only communist weekly in Britain.
Put the communist alternative back on the agenda and build the communist movement here in Britain. Speed the day!
