Supporters sent in £470 this week, including two tenners from comrades in Hereford and Hull. The fighting fund for August now stands at £2,870. We need to raise £630 this weekend to hit our £3,500 target for the month!
The labour movement is full of false prophets – from Starmer & Co and the union bureaucrats who run the TUC to the legion of MPs, full-time union officials and councillors climbing up the greasy pole on the backs of the votes of deluded working people. Then there’s the charlatans posing as revolutionary Marxists in their sects who have plenty to say but have achieved little or nothing for the labour movement they claim to represent.
We are something different. We support the people’s democracies all around the world. We support the Palestinians fighting Zionist terror. We support the people of the Donbas fighting fascist terror. We campaign for peace and socialism.
But running a communist weekly isn’t easy. We need a constant and generous flow of money to keep the New Worker going. But it’s worth it. We’re the only communist weekly in the country.
