New Worker Banner

The Weekly paper of the New Communist Party of Britain

The Fighting Fund

Bumper last minute rush brought in £1,475 last week thanks to a generous donation of £1,000 from a supporter in Chigwell and contributions from Scotland, the Midlands and the North Country. All in all the grand total for October was £3,016 – sadly a few hundred pounds short of our target. But communists live to fight another day so let’s see if we can make it up in November!

Back in 1917 the workers and peasants in the Czarist empire took destiny in their own hands. Led by the Bolsheviks they swept out the old order in a revolution that ultimately led to the establishment of the Soviet Union and the end the First World War. Though the USSR is no more – brought down by revisionism and treason – the people’s democracies in Asia and the Caribbean remain red beacons for the struggling masses all over the world.

We are part of that world. And our communist voice, the only communist weekly in the country, can only be heard with your help. The New Worker depends on you. This is your paper. This is your voice. Make it heard on the street, in the factories; in the offices and colleges throughout the country!

The £3,500 November appeal starts now. Please send your donation to: New Worker Fund, PO Box 73, London SW11 2PQ. Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to the ‘New Worker’.
