Friends and supporters raised £442 for the fighting fund this week thanks to a Wallasea reader who sent in a score, a Scottish reader who gave us a fiver and Metropolitan comrades who collected £15 at their lit stall at a recent Korean Friendship Association meeting in London. That, together with donations from regular contributors to the fund, has pushed the needle up to £2,442. We now need just over £1,000 to hit our target for February.
The fighting fund keeps our presses rolling. It keeps our suppliers sweet. All donations, big or small, count in the struggle to keep the only communist weekly in the UK going. Our voice is your voice – the call for freedom, social justice and peace that we’ve got to make heard on the street throughout the country to stave off the threat of fascism and pave the way to the bright red future that only socialism can bring.
