Two comrades rallied to call to save the day last week. One gave £500 and another – a good friend from Chigwell – gave £1,000. The September appeal ended with £3,136 for the fighting fund. We live to fight another day!
The October appeal starts now and our target is the usual £3,500 that we need to guarantee the continued production of the New Worker. All over the world the masses are demanding change. Students and workers are fighting on the street to defend the education system in France. Workers, farmers and students have closed ranks in Spain to force fresh elections following the cruel eviction by property speculators of a pensioner from her life-long home to make way for tourist accommodation. And the Iranians and fighting Arabs in the Middle East are, against all odds, standing up to American imperialism and its Zionist pawn.
