Superior cornflakes and the Holocaust
THIS week is Holocaust Memorial week and the sight of Tory London Mayor Boris Johnson reading out an excerpt from Primo Levi’s If not now, when at a ceremony in London’s City Hall prompts another look at the pernicious “master race” philosophy that leads to some people thinking themselves inherently superior — and therefore others must be inferior. This is what led ultimately to the Holocaust, the industrial scale mass murder of those deemed to be “useless mouths”.

Special Appeal
Building the Paper
The Central Committee of the NCPB looked at the problem of the mountain of bills that threatens to overwhelm our paper when it met last weekend. All our full-time workers are in arrears and our cash-flow problem means that it’s even hard to find the money to buy the £200 worth of stamps we need every week for the despatch. The first step was to raise the target for our Special Appeal to £15,000.
