Syria holds the line against terror

REACTIONARY Syrian terror groups, including the so-called “moderate” militias that the imperialists use to justify their less than covert attempts to overthrow the popular front government in Damascus, have closed ranks to launch concerted attacks on Syrian army positions in the Damascus countryside and Hama province with the Israeli air-force. But the Syrians say they downed one Israeli jet and hit a second after four planes breached Syrian airspace and attacked government troops near Palmyra last week. The Israelis admit to raiding Lebanese Hezbollah resistance camps in Syria but say that all their planes returned safely to base.

Standing up to racism in London, Cardiff and Glasgow

UNITED Nations Anti-Racism Day traditionally marks the anniversary of the Sharpeville massacre in South Africa on 21st March 1960. And last Saturday it was marked by tens of thousands of people in Britain in marches in London, Cardiff and Glasgow — as well as by millions of others around the world.

The key to Labour victory

TREACHEROUS Tom Watson, the deputy Labour leader, has taken yet another underhanded shot at his own party by announcing to the right-wing media that there is a plot between Jon Lansman, the man who founded and owns the Momentum organisation, and Len McCluskey, leader of the giant union Unite, to take over the Labour Party and change the nature of the party completely.

This is a ridiculous claim on so many levels it is breath taking, yet the BBC and all of the rest of the right-wing media gang are happy to swallow this unsubstantiated fake news.
