IMPERIALISTS PLAN NEW ATTACK IN SYRIA

by our Arab Affairs correspondent

SYRIAN air defence forces are on high alert following reports that the imperialists are planning to stage another fake poison gas attack in the rebel-held Idlib region to provide them with a pretext for another attack against the country. The imperialists say they will take military action again if Syria uses chemical weapons in the coastal province that has, until now, relied on Turkish protection to keep the Syrian army at bay. the Turks following Turkey’s decision to ignore American objections and buy a Russian S-400 missile defence system
Last week the Russians revealed that a false flag chemical weapon attack against civilians was being prepared in Idlib in order to blame Damascus and give the USA and its allies a pretext for a punitive strike against Syria. Russian sources say that British agents, working hand in glove with the bogus White Helmets ‘rescue teams’ are preparing the ground whilst the Americans assemble a new strike force to hit the Syrians.
According to Major-General Igor Konashenkov, “English-speaking specialists” are already operating in southern Idlib. “Preparations are being made for a group of residents brought from the north of the province to participate in the staging of an ‘attack’ of allegedly chemical munitions and bombs by Syrian government forces, staged assistance by mimicked ‘rescuers’ from the White Helmets and the shooting of a video for distribution to the Middle East and English-language media,” he said.

Workers’ Notes Pink Floyd legend slams Skripal case as ‘nonsense

Sputnik

ROGER WATERS, the former leader of Pink Floyd, has dismissed the infamous ‘Skripal affair’ as nonsense in an interview with the Russian paper Izvestiya. He also blasted the White Helmets, a dubious Syrian volunteer organisation that has been accused of staging videos of chemical attacks, as part of the propaganda war against Syria.
The legendary musician said: “That the attack on the Skripals was nonsense is clear to a person with half a brain. But some don’t even have one half, that’s why they believe in this absurdity.”
The Skripal case unfolded in Salisbury in early March, when former Russian intelligence officer Sergei Skripal and his daughter were exposed to a nerve agent known as ‘Novichok’. The May government rushed to accuse Russia of involvement in the attack, which the Kremlin has repeatedly denied. Although no evidence has been provided that Russia was behind the Skripal poisoning, Britain expelled 23 Russian diplomats, prompting Russia take similar retaliatory measures including shutting down the British Council and closing the British Consulate in St Petersburg. .

THERESA May has directed officials to start working on a British satellite navigation system amidst an ongoing row with the European Union over Britain’s access to the bloc’s Galileo system after Brexit.
Chancellor of the Exchequer Philip Hammond has signed off funding amounting to as much as £100 million to “map out” the project, which will rival the continental system that Britain had a key role in creating. Last May the government confirmed

No to another EU vote!

THE CAMPAIGN to reverse the decision of the 2016 referendum on the European Union (EU) is now zeroing in on Labour Party conference in Liverpool in September.
Historically, the purpose of EU referendums is simply to get the public to endorse what has already been agreed by those who called them in the first place. If that fails the results are immediately questioned to back demands for reruns. This has been the chosen method of the Eurocracy to reverse decisions they didn’t like for many years.
The Europhiles in all the parliamentary parties, who see the ruling class’ interests best served by working hand-in-glove with Franco-German imperialism, began preparing the ground for another vote immediately after they lost the referendum in 2016.
The fifth column within the Labour Party is now working to mobilise the Europhiles within the Corbyn camp to join them in a concerted effort to commit Labour to a second referendum on EU membership. They say this is not a challenge to Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership and they claim that the ‘People’s Vote’ campaign now reflects the overwhelming wish of the electorate.
