This week’s efforts brought in £663 thanks to the Chigwell comrade who send in £100 and the Eastbourne reader who gave us £125. And we raised £38 at our New Worker stall at last weekend’s Korean Friendship Association meeting in Brixton. The April fighting fund now stands at £1,315 and we need to raise over two grand more by May Day to hit our £3,500 target for the month.
And don’t we need it…we’ve managed to restore one of our old computers and it’s now back in action in the production of the New Worker. But we really need new machines – everything we’ve got is over 10 years old (apart from our electronic press that is!) and we’ve still got to meet the day-to-day costs of running the print shop and the Party Centre!
Our communist weekly, the only one in the country, stands by all the people of the Global South. The voice of the New Worker is heard up and down the country. Make sure it’s heard on your street by supporting the fighting fund. Our survival depends entirely on you.
