The June fighting fund appeal had begun with £440 in the bag and a long road ahead, as usual, to hit our £3,500 target for the month.
Our voice, the voice of the oppressed masses, needs to be heard – especially now with the fascists again trying to stir up racist violence against ethnic minorities and asylum seekers on the street, encouraged as usual by the likes of Tommy Robinson and the cynical politicians who lead the Faragist movement and manipulated by the hidden hand of the powers that be that like nothing more than seeing workers split and fighting amongst themselves.
Meanwhile the struggle for peace and socialism continues – in the people’s democracies on the road of socialist construction, and with the people of Venezuela and Iran and the freedom fighters in Palestine and Lebanon facing a vicious foe that’s backed by the might of American imperialism. We have to ensure that the communist voice is heard in the struggle that continues in every factory, office and housing estate throughout the land and we can only do that with your help.
